This June 2023, the museum launches GUERRILLA Featuring: My Grandfather’s Things in collaboration with My Grandfather’s Things, an online luxury boutique that celebrates the joy of owning vintage handbags. The collaboration is the first of its kind in a museum space, paying tribute to the art of craftsmanship. The event will start with a 3-day luxe shopping experience, followed by a Chanel Diana exhibition until end October 2023. 

GUERRILLA: SHOPPING (30 June - 2 july 2023)

My Grandfather’s Things will be showcasing a collection of vintage Chanel and Hermes bags that offer an exclusive peek into the history of luxury fashion through the ages. Discontinued styles and colourways of classics like the Diana and Kelly from the 1980s through the 2000s will be on rare display. For those looking for a classic, My Grandfather’s Things will be bringing in various classic flaps from different years for visitors to directly touch and try on. The showcase will include styles for both the seasoned and the beginner collector and various price points. House-made accessories will also be available and shoppers can expect customised bag inserts, chain wraps, bag handle scarves and more at the event. 

A selection of around 60 vintage bags will be featured at the 3-day only shopping event between 30 June 2023 Friday to 2 July 2023 Sunday. 

GUERRILLA: EXHIBITION (4th july - 31 october 2023)

A series of rare, vintage Chanel Diana handbags belonging to the founder of My Grandfather’s Things, an online luxury boutique based in Hong Kong are on rare display for a limited period of time. The bags are specifically produced between the years of 1989- 1996 and comes in a variety of leathers, showcased here are two types: lambskin and the highly sought-after pebble grain caviar. Out of all the bags on display, Meredith – the milk tea caviar Diana is probably the most valuable piece, valued at closed to $20,000 SGD.
